Interesting article around PTSD for parents who've had a child in the NICU. Our friend Emily & Jason also experienced having a child in the NICU following their birth. While our stories are different, we both relate the birth of our children to the additional time each of them spent in the NICU. Eric & I definitely did not experience anything as serious as this article states - - thankfully - - but we certainly have a complete understanding of it. For the rest of my life, I will never get the sound of those heart monitors out of my head. They would "DING" every 30 seconds those first few days Carson and Dean were in there. I used to lay in bed at night still hearing the ring in my head. Thanks Emily for posting to your blog, I was happy to read. Also, a good reminder that the annual March of Dimes Walk is coming in April to a city near you. If you are in Raleigh and interested in walking, Eric and I are going to be putting a team together. The date is Saturday April 24th.
