Carson & Dean are no longer needing to stay naked - - it's time to get them dressed. Since they are only 1 - 2 degrees away from coming out of their incubators and into an open crib (together), clothes are extremely helpful. I have enjoyed bringing in outfits daily and dressing them up. They look absolutley precious - - even though they are drowning in some of the matching hats.
No "new news" to report. Which we have learned in the NICU - - no news, is good news. They have tolerated all of their feedings, which they have added additional calories and protein to. So, we are seeing nice jumps in their weights each evening.
Some preemies require ultrasounds and eye exams to make sure there aren't any additional issues that need to be resolved. Carson & Dean are not in need of any of these tests as they have shown no signs of complications and because they were delivered at a "safe gestation" age. (even thought to us, 8 weeks was early).
I look forward to posting a picture of them in their crib together. I have a feeling they have really missed one another!
