Yesterday was Nonna's birthday. We had a chance to celebrate with her early when we were in TX last week. Here was the spectacular gift that Carson and Dean got her. Let's just hope they don't inherit my artistic genes . . . because I have none.

Bagels and Babies

Last Sunday Mimi and Grandpa hosted a little gathering at their house to introduce Carson and Dean to some of their friends. It was a quick 2 hours and Carson and Dean enjoyed all of the attention. Mimi put on a great spread with bagels, lox, fruit, and hot apple cider. Thank you everyone for coming. For the past 7 months you have inquired about Carson and Dean, supplied us with meals, and given adorable gifts for the babies. We certainly appreciate it!

We're off to see Nonna & T-Pop

We just returned from 5 days of fun in Austin. The babies visited family, went to the golf club for a cocktail, celebrated Nonna's birthday, read books with Aunt Nut, and got some belly lovin from T-Pop. Nonna & T-Pop have tons of toys for Carson & Dean to play with. They even created a nursery for them. Check out the mural that Nonna painted! Gran and Spike & Colleen helped Nonna & T-Pop babysit while Eric & I enjoyed a night out with Whitney. We even got some time to hit some golf balls together one morning. The babies are still terrific travelers. They were great on the plane and even hung out well in the airport. They gave many a smiles out to random strangers . . .great! Overall, a wonderful trip!

SIX MONTHS OLD!!!!

Carson & Dean are 6 months old! Who can believe it? Time absolutely flies! It is hard to imagine that 6 months ago, after 12 longggggg days in the hospital, we would welcome these tiny little babies 10 weeks early, and then stand by their side while they got big and strong in the NICU for another 6 weeks. All of that seems like a complete blur. Now, they are laughing, moving, and just full of life and energy. And after their 6 month check-up yesterday, completely healthy!

Carson - weighed in at 14 lbs 8 oz
Dean - weighed in at 16 lbs

Dean was also a full inch longer than Carson. They are on the growth chart for all 3 areas - head, length, and weight. Small facts, but fun for Eric and I to see as parents. Oh, and of course, the dreaded shots (3 a piece)!

Here they are having fun in the tub at 6 months old!!!!

A day at the pumpkin patch

We had such a fun day (and great weather) when we took the kids to a PUMPKIN PATCH today! Our friends Nicole and Pete joined us with their twins Blake and Cole. We came home with 2 tired babies, 4 pumpkins, and some really great pictures. The babies are obviously too young for all this farm had to offer, but we look forward to returning in the future. There were hay rides, corn mazes, animals, food, etc. We capped the evening off introducing Carson and Dean to sweet potatoes and to bath time. I don't feel like they are ever going to take to this food gig -- but they certainly didn't mind playing with it! They were all smiles....
